Nel contesto di The Game Awards 2023, l’attenzione era riservata non soltanto ai videogiochi, ma anche a film e serie televisive, nell’ambito della categoria Best Adaptation. Si tratta di una categoria che includeva tutti i titoli di film e serie televisive che costituivano un adattamento di prodotti videoludici nel 2023, in uno scontro sicuramente molto serrato in virtù di grandi successi, come quello di Super Mario Bros – Il film. La vittoria è andata alla serie The Last of Us, con Pedro Pascal e Bella Ramsay nei panni dei protagonisti, che finalmente vede confermata la sua data di uscita per quanto riguarda la seconda stagione.
La vittoria di The Last of Us nella categoria Best Adaptation
La categoria di Best Adaptation prometteva uno scontro sicuramente molto importante tra i diversi e prodotti, che costituivano un adattamento di videogiochi. Considerando i tuoi film, Super Mario Bros e Gran Turismo, oltre che i prodotti come Twisted Metal e Castlevania: Nocturne, non era esattamente scontata la vittoria di The Last of Us, che ottiene il tanto al mito premio in virtù del grandissimo successo della serie HBO e del lavoro realizzato anche da parte dello stesso Neil Druckmann in collaborazione con Craig Mazin.
