A imporsi come protagonista assoluto della serata è stato Una battaglia dopo l’altra, l’ultima fatica di Paul Thomas Anderson, che si è aggiudicata il premio più ambito come Miglior Film. La pellicola prodotta da Warner Bros. ha confermato la sua centralità nel dibattito critico portando a casa anche i riconoscimenti per la Miglior Regia e per la Miglior Sceneggiatura Non Originale, consolidandosi come uno dei progetti più solidi dell’anno, capace di unire ambizione artistica e consenso trasversale.
