Nella notte italiana tra il 5 e 6 gennaio si è tenuta la cerimonia di premiazione dei Golden Globe 2025 che sanciscono in maniera definitiva l’inizio della cosiddetta Award Season che ci accompagnerà fino al 2 marzo, giorno della cerimonia dei 97esimi Academy Awards. Fronte cinematografico, grande successo di The Brutalist, con il film di Brady Corbet che diventa adesso l’assoluto favorito per i prossimi premi Oscar, mentre c’è una totale debacle da parte di Anora, che resta con 0 riconoscimenti. La vera sorpresa viene infatti rappresentata da Emilia Pérez, che vince come miglior film commedia o musical e dalle attrici, con i due premi alle attrici protagoniste che vanno rispettivamente a Fernanda Torres per Io Sono Ancora Qui e Demi Moore per The Substance. Per quanto riguarda la televisione, dominio assoluto di Shōgun – che vince come miglior serie drammatica e con tutti e tre i suoi protagonisti – e conferme da parte di Baby Reindeer e The Bear, anche se quest’ultimo si regge sulle spalle di Jeremy Allen White.
